Missing DLL in SDK?

Post by dlerickson »

We're trying our hand at getting a server package up and running for the first time, so I went through the usual Visual Studio process for package creation and scaffolding. The reference list has SoftPro.Select.Service.dll as a dependency, and it didn't get pulled into the project. Not only that, I cannot find it anywhere, whether it be my local SDK install, the Select client, or on the Mid-Tier server for our Dev environment.

Do I perhaps have a deprecated version of the SDK installed and/or where can I find the DLL in question? Thanks.

In a default install, SoftPro.Select.Service.dll is located in the mid-tier (server) folder at:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\SoftPro\Select Server\Instances\spssvr\

By the way, I would not use the DLLs sent with the SDK. Always use the ones either in the SoftPro server or client folders so they always match your current system.
