Simple Order Validation

When I start the program in debug mode, it goes to the breakpoints and past for the initializing but then it seems to never actually go into select. It seems to get stuck on Dormant Ledgers 'Eventing'.

On the validation message, they wanted a link for a file to appear to show an underwriter bulletin received from our underwriter. How can I add this to the validation error message?

Do you mean the Errors and Warnings panel? You can hotspot to specific fields in the order, but you cannot put a URL in this area and have it hyperlink to a website or file.

Add information to this panel using the IErrorList interface. Examples are in the SDK at Cookbook/All Packages and API Projects/How do I attach documents to ProForm Orders.

You cannot attach documents to profiles.

Each line will hold a limited amount of text on a single line. Breaking up a PDF to fit on the panel by using dozens of lines - while possible - will be awkward for the user to read. Of course if the information is very short, this might be an option.

This would be a custom UI component that would have to be added to Select for your customer.

These are the times we might use a custom shell package. It would monitor the user session for some stimulus (order close with specific underwriter specified - for instance) and display a popup window for the user to see. After they click some button on the popup, the package would save the state (that the bulletin has been seen so it doesn't keep popping up unless it changes) and allow the user to save the order. As this is a custom package, it would required you to develop it or we can.

I am not aware of a way to hotspot to an attachment or document. The start page can contain customized content, but I do not know a way to hotspot to it since it is not part of an order.
