Rate Calculator

Post by tmeisinger »

Our sales rep told us that while SoftPro is working on a Rate Calculator (something we could share with our clients), for now, we could use the API... Curious if anyone has used the API to try to do this?

Hate to be a pain, but any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for delay on this, Todd - we missed this post somehow. We do have some customers who were planning to use the API for this purpose, though I'm not sure which, if any, of those are already in production (maybe someone will comment on this here if they've done so). Assuming you already have SPAdmin configured with all your rates, the basic idea is that you'd create an order for each quote, enter the relevant data into that order and/or apply templates so the fees are calculated, then read the resulting premium/fee back out for your quote. You could save that order if you need the record of it, or discard it if not.
