Assigning an order to a workflow in the API

Post by muhsmann »

When I create a new order via the API is there a way to assign it to an existing workflow?

Not currently. The API does not support workflow at this time. Tasks are supported, allowing you to add a task and assign it to a user, but there is currently no way to submit an order to workflow or assign a step to a user. Those tasks can only be done through the client UI.

Is it still the case that the API cannot submit an order to workflow?

Yes. We plan to work on changes in this area during 2015, and will be adding a workflow API as part of that project. No confirmed timelines at this point, however.
