SoftPro Client displays mostly blank screen

Noticed this during some user testing. Here's the scenario:

• On a Windows Server 2008 R2 virtual machine, install SoftPro Client 3.0 (3.0.10820.208 (HF2.3)) as an administrator
• Give permission for domain users to log on to machine remotely
• Have domain user log in and start SoftPro Client
• Observe that the application is all blank except for the menu bars and the search box (no splitters, no front page, no text whatsoever below the menu bars)
• Have domain user log out
• Grant that user admin priveleges
• Have user try again - observe same problem
• Have user log out
• Delete user's windows profile on that machine (but leave them as admin)
• Have user try again - observe that everything is working now

I'm not sure what the specific problem is, but I'm very concerned that this could impact our users as they are not typically admins on their own machines. Can someone look into this and determine if it will affect our users? We're mostly on Windows 7 now, but we do have a Windows Server 2008 Citrix setup that could very well be impacted by this.

Did inspecting the logs for the server and/or client yield any informatiion?

Actually it is not a dumb question. I still have to hunt around a bit for the shell log.

Select Shell Log (Workstation)
Start Select with the /log option, then look for the file Select.log in the hidden AppData folder:

• C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\SoftPro\Select\{SoftPro Version}{RootSuffix}

Be sure to change the italicized sections to your workstation user name and configuration. For instance, my path for the development that I do for Select version 3.0 in the RootSuffix Exp is "C:\Users\brichards\AppData\Local\SoftPro\Select\3.0Exp\Select.log".

Select Server Log (Server)
You can see the server log by opening the Windows system Event Viewer and inspect the Application Log.
