Programmatically creating Custom Fields

Hello, I have perused the site for some tips on creating a custom field programmatically. Failing to find a solution, it was time for a new topic. During the initial startup of a server side app, I'd like to check for the existence of a text custom field, and if it doesn't exist, create it. I'm not ...

Re: Display PDF in a Form, or something

Thanks for the research and links Bob. Prepare to laugh a bit. Well hopefully laugh. As it turns out, I was imagining something that doesn't happen at all in Select. I was thinking that Select had a PDF display tool built in. It, of course, does not, Adobe Acrobat documents are opened in the ...

Display PDF in a Form, or something

Howdy,

First I have to say, this board is a great reference. :D Today I was thinking about displaying a PDF to the user. Is there anything in the API that would help facilitate that :?: If so, can I get a sample, please :?:

Thanks,
-Dan

Re: File Warnings and Messages from Errors and Warnings Panel.

I am thinking the opposite of the COR reaching out to the database. I'd never do something that obtuse, well I hope not. <smile> The reason I'm thinking about it is for manager level reports that give a snapshot of the health of the data in the database over a specific search criteria based on the E...

Re: File Warnings and Messages from Errors and Warnings Panel.

Thanks, Bob. Can I ask that it be added to the feature requests? As the file is saving, it is all known information, delete the old records, add new ones. I expect as companies use Validation in python code it would be useful to know pieces of those 2 things.

File Warnings and Messages from Errors and Warnings Panel.

Hello, Is there anywhere in the database that stores each file's Warnings or Messages as they appear in the Select Errors and Warnings panel? Errors of course wouldn't be there since the file can't be saved. We are trying to see the condition of the files based on that information. Thanks for the as...

4.6 VSIX location

Hello, I installed the 4.6 SDK, and can't figure out where/ how to find the VSIX to installed into VS 2015. I've searched "Extensions and Updates" in VS 2015, both Installed and Online. Also checked the %ProgramFiles%\Softpro\Select SDK folder, as well as read what I could find including t...
