Re: Select Database Questions

To create an order, you must create an OrderCreationSpec object to specify information regarding the naming, settlement information, etc. You then pass this object to IOrderStore.NewOrder(...). This method reads the information and creates a new order. Adding to the previous post slightly: OrderCrea...

Re: File Locked

Sorry for the problems, Emma. I'll have to send this to the 4.6 developers to respond since I don't work with 4.6 much. Unfortunately I don't know when they will respond.

To be clear, this only occurs with the Attachment application? Does this problem occur when using the Select application?

Re: User Impersonation

Server packages run as the administrator. There is no way to change this. The only way for a server package to impersonate a user is to create another SelectServer instance by logging in with the user credentials. This means the server must know the username/password for the user and it would consum...

Re: Given a path, locate the Attachment ....?

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to descend the attachment folders. You can use String.Split to break the path into parts and move down one IAttachmentFolder at a time until you reach the desired file.

Re: Checklist Task Category

Have you confirmed that it is a locked/unlocked issue? I was mentioning it out of a sense of completeness as to why it might fail. Please try testing for the condition. What version of Select are you working with? I have not observed this behavior before. I do not know how you are constructing the t...

Re: Checklist Task Category

The only check that is missing is IsLocked() but I doubt that is the issue. I you using the same username/password account to launch the Select client as was used in your app?

What is the specific error you are getting in the app? Please include the stack trace.

Re: Checklist Task Category

If you go into an order that fails the setting process using the Select application, what is the state of the field? Also, this is a case where you would use IOrderItem for defensive programming. Methods GetIsLocked(), GetIsReadOnly(), GetIsSupported(), and HasProperty() will allow you to detect the...

Re: Invalid Prefix

This is called if the user has more than one profile and none are selected as the default. So what happens if the desired profile (Profile) is not in the collection of available profiles for the user? Does this routine ever leave the SelectedProfile unspecified? If nothing else, you should log the e...

Re: Invalid Prefix

I can't tell what might be happening. Make sure the current profile is what you expect. We have not add any reported problems in this area.
