Re: BuyerSellerType

I'm glad to hear it. I really does take a while for the order model to click and make sense.

Re: Commitment Exceptions with Hyperlink

Let’s start with – I have no idea why it would truncate your filename. The original idea provided by a user in 2014 is a hack. I do not have an officially endorsed way of adding a link to a rich text box. That being said, is it possible you pulled a silly programmer "off-by-one" trick and in your St...

Re: API Feed from outside source

Sorry but this is too broad in scope to be answered in this DevForum. I recommend you contact Elliott Potts (the Development Manager for our Custom Application group) to discuss your needs. There are many ways to attack this issue. One possibility is creating a Select server package that periodicall...

Re: InvalidOperationException

It sounds like you are modifying the order or adding objects before you have opened the order as writable (as ReadWrite or Design). If the order is locked or opened by someone else, modifications can't occur - or more accurately - can't be saved. I imagine that you have already looked for this scena...

Re: BuyerSellerType

To clarify, if you know the state and want to set an Address object with it, use the example below. First I get the IState object that represents the state you are looking for. In this case I am searching for Texas. Next I get a contact as an example of an object with an Address and set the state. /...

Re: InvalidOperationException

I'm not sure we can be of help without knowing the context around your code. Can you provide any additional information or your code when the errors occur. How often does the error occur?

Re: BuyerSellerType

Unfortunately the SDK will never have all the information. I wish it did. You can search this DevForum for keywords also. You might find clues where others have asked similar or even unrelated questions - the same way you did it in September: HUD Section 1200 See how "search.State" was set by lookin...

Re: BuyerSellerType

Open a typical order then open the Field Code Browser (FCB). Now open the Order.Buyers collection, look for the "BuyerSellerType" property. Click on it and you will see the property Type in the bottom panel of the screen. It shows that the type is "BuyerSellerType". If you look up this type in the S...

Re: Order Contacts

The contacts do not have an "Address1" property. Look at the Field Code Browser (FCB) for any contact and you will see that contacts have an "Address" object property. Get that property then set fields on it. Buyers and Sellers are a little different so check the FCB for the available address proper...
